Teen Summer Reading Challenge
(Grades 6-12)

When Does It Begin?
Summer Reading begins on Saturday, June 3rd.  You should not count any books read or tasks completed before that date.
When Does It End?
Summer Reading ends on August 5th.  All books and tasks must be logged online by midnight on August 5th or paper logs must be turned in by the time the library closes.
How Do I Participate?
Sign up by clicking on the Register/Online Log" link above or at any JPL location.
How Does it Work?
After you sign up, read for 20 HOURS or do a combination of reading and completing tasks (each task counts as 1 hour) to collect your prizes and enter the grand prize raffle! Some tasks can only be completed one time. *Denotes one-time only tasks.

What Counts as Reading?
You may read anything you like, as long as it is for one hour. All books read must be age appropriate.  Click on the “Reading Suggestions” link for ideas!
Can I Log the Books and Tasks Online?
You may log your books and tasks online or using a paper log.  The online log can be accessed using the "Register/Online Log" link.  The paper log can be printed out using the "Paper Log" link or picked up at any JPL location.
What are the Prizes?
Teens will receive a book bag, a "Fight Evil Read Books" bumper sticker, and a grand prize raffle ticket. Each additional 20 hours/tasks completed earns a bonus prize and another grand prize raffle ticket!  All prizes are while supplies last, so be sure to complete early.
What is the Grand Prize?
You could win one of four $50 Gift Cards (Amazon, Barnes & Noble, iTunes, AMC).  You choose which raffle to enter!
