Summer Reading Challenge
for Camps and Daycares

When does it start?
Summer Reading officially starts on June 3rd.
When does it end?
Summer Reading ends on August 5th.  All books must be logged online by midnight on August 5th or paper logs must be turned in by the time the library closes.
How does it work?
Write down the books that you read to the children as a group. When you finish 10 books, every child will receive a prize!
Can I log the books online?
Yes! Click on the "Register / Online Log" button above. After you register your group, then you can log your books online.
Do I have to register and log books online?
No! You can just register your group with a Youth Outreach Librarian (see below) and use a paper log to keep track of your books! The paper log can be printed out using the "Paper Log" button above or picked up at any Jefferson Parish Library.
What are the Prizes?
When 10 books have been read to your group, each child will receive a backpack, bumper sticker, completion certificate, and coupons and vouchers from local businesses.
How do I collect the prizes?
You can collect prizes at the library nearest you or have them delivered to your group. Contact your Youth Outreach Librarian to determine which option is best for you!
Can our group come to programs in the Library?
The Library welcomes camps and daycares at our programs, but due to space constraints, we do require that you contact the branch to ensure that space is available. Special storytimes and tours can also be arranged for your group!
